U.S markets fell sharply on Friday
On Friday (December 18, 2015), the U.S stock markets were highly negative, caused by drop in oil prices. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) decreased by 2.10% to 17,128; the S&P 500 (SPX) fell by 1.78%, to 2,005; the Nasdaq Composite (COMP) fell by 1.59%, to 4,923.
On weekly basis, DJIA decreased by 0.8%; S&P 500 fell 0.3%; Nasdaq Composite decreased by 0.2%.
On the year-to-date basis, DJIA decreased by -3.9%, S&P 500 fell by 2.59%, and Nasdaq Composite increased by 3.95%.
